Zuni Dolomite Coyote Fetish By Josh LekiItem No: 10018
Young Zuni artist Josh Leki, a member of Lena Boone’s extended family, follows in her footsteps by making striking figures from natural stones, as well as glass. Leki used a wonderful Dolomite stone for this beautiful coyote.
The coyote is the representative of the western direction in a hunting set, replacing the bear in a healing directional set. He's most often associated with the color blue.
The coyote's characteristics are arrogance and a sense of self-importance. Despite this, he can be a great teacher – showing us how our impulsive nature or our self-centeredness fail to serve us well. He can also remind us to recognize those habits which ultimately make our lives more difficult.
This Dolomite coyote stands 4 1/2 inches high by 2 3/4 inches long, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
