Chris Pruitt is a contemporary jewelry artist of Laguna Pueblo and Chiricahua Apache descent. He learned jewelry-making from his older brother, renowned contemporary jewelry artist Pat Pruitt, and from family friend Charlie Bird.
Inspired by his cultural heritage and Native American jewelry traditions, Pruitt is known for his contemporary jewelry works in silver and gold. He has won First Place awards at Santa Fe Indian Market, Heard Museum Indian Fair & Market, and Eiteljorg Museum Indian Fair & Market.
