Description
Native Americans are inspired by their rich cultural history and the traditions of art, dance, community, and cuisine that have been carefully handed down for generations.

The Three Sister crops are a necessity in Southwestern culture. They bring blessings, as well as nourishment. This image depicts baskets of corn, bean and squash symbolizing a successful harvest. The crops are surrounded by elements of clouds, lightning and rainbows in a double-matted 10 x 8 print.

Dalton James is a self-taught artist from Hopi Pueblo, and is a member of the Tobacco Clan from the village of Hotevilla in northeastern Arizona.
