This drawing depicts a stylized hand placing seeds in the earth along with prayers for a successful harvest. Hopi farmers utilize centuries -old dry farming methods. The dry farming methods depend totally on natural precipitation. Print is in a double matted 8"long by 10 " wide.
Dalton James is a self-taught artist from Hopi Pueblo, and is a member of the Tobacco Clan from the village of Hotevilla in northeastern Arizona.
